Evaluation of the policies of George W. Bush and his Republican conservatives on America.
They had a range of 10 miles to hit the U.S. from Iraq!
Published on June 23, 2006 By COL Gene In Politics

Sen. Rick Santorum claims a just released intelligence report proves Saddam Hussein had WMD. This claim is predicated on the recovery of about 500 old gas filled Artillery Shells from about 1980 and this Santorum claims proves that Saddam was the danger Bush claimed when he invaded Iraq in March 2003.

Santorum shows just how desperate Bush supporters are to try and justify a war that the majority believes was a mistake. The problem with the old chemical artillery shells is that first they have a range of about 10 miles. HOW were they a threat to the United States? Two they were so old that the gas in the shells was no longer dangerous!

This declassified intelligence report does NOTHING to show that in 2003 Saddam was a threat and does not in any way change the conclusion of the U. S. Former Weapons inspector, Charles Duelfer in 2004 that Saddam had discontinued his WMD program just after the 1991 war and that he had NO ACTIVE Chemical, Biological or Nuclear weapons programs in 2003!

The real cost of this war will take some time to calculate. The Iraq war has consumed the vast majority of our land forces and has caused serious damage to almost ALL the equipment of the Army, Marines, National Guard and Army Reserve. Not only will all that equipment need to be either rebuilt or replaced, but if another military action develops BEFORE we can repair or replace our military equipment, we could have a very serious problem.

On so many dimensions the Iraq War was a mistake that will linger for a long time!

Only in your mind.

No in the mind of the MAJORITY of Americans. WE have the deaths, injuries, impact on the National Guard and Army Reserve, destruction of our military equipment, added terrorists that have been recruited due to our invasion of a Moslem country, the cost of the war and the fact Bush put the cost on the tab so we can pay interest on that added debt until, if ever, we repay the debt created by this elective war!

There are ALL facts that people like you want to ignore. Your stupidity will not alter these consequences nor make then go away. This is just one of the messes Bush has created that the next President will be forced to deal with when Crawford, Texas has gotten back its idiot!

How do you know? Oh let me guess, a biased media poll of 1000 Americans that oversample democrats right?

You stupidity will not alter there consequences nor make then go away.

You might want to check that grammar in that sentence before calling someone stupid.

It shouldn’t take long before the full meaning of these FBI statements start to prick your brain and raise your blood pressure. If you think the way I think, in quick order you will be wrestling with a barrage of very powerful questions that must be answered. First and foremost, if the U.S. government does not have enough hard evidence connecting Bin Laden to 9/11, how is it possible that it had enough evidence to invade Afghanistan to “smoke him out of his cave?” The federal government claims to have invaded Afghanistan to “root out” Bin Laden and the Taliban. Through the talking heads in the mainstream media, the Bush Administration told the American people that Usama Bin Laden was Public Enemy Number One and responsible for the deaths of nearly 3000 people on September 11, 2001. Yet nearly five years later, the FBI says that it has no hard evidence connecting Bin Laden to 9/11.

Your tinfoil hat is cocked a smidge to the side - adjust it a little and the reception will be much better.

>but if another military action develops BEFORE we can repair or replace our military equipment, we could have a very

Call me insane but I am praying for another military action ... one that REQUIRES A DRAFT.
Want to know why?

Every member of my family has the following mentality:
"to hell with their stupid wars ... i am not serving in any operation thats not taking place on US SOIL, even if it
means serving a jail sentence ... I welcome it, we can "settle" after i come out"

its thats simple:
when the draft comes along ... they better head to the houses of all the people claiming war is great. I can tell you
this ... if they draft my son ... I can gurantee the first thing he would do would be to blow his commanders head off
and suffer the consequences

Actually the school called my wife up one day ... his history teacher was upset about his comment in class:
when asked about joining the army to fight overseas my son replied:

"there is no way ... i am going to fight and kill another man thats done nothing to me because someone else tells me to"
"ill defend my family if and only when that person or persons, sets foot on my fathers property, NOT BEFORE"

thats my BOY!!!
brings tears to my eyes

my wife laughed her head off and the vice principle hung the phone up. Go look for suckers somewhere buddy.

History should have taught you that it's too late when "they" are on your "soil". Save your tears for your son at the gates of the concentation camp or the pit he digs for his grave. I often wonder about that famous photo of the well dressed Frenchmen crying as the Germans marched through Paris; maybe he and others like him should have carried thier asses to the front and prevented the invasion. Too many people like you and your laughing wife, allowing others to protect your freedoms.

>History should have taught you that it's too late when "they" are on your "soil".

Whose "they"?
Is it like we did in Iraq?
Should the Iraqi's have come over here to prevent us from coming over to invade them?

How about Switzerland ... I remember something about Hitler not marching his troops through there .. because he knew
the average citizen was armed ...

Thats the sort of defense I favor ... protect yoruself at home ... and thats AS FAR AS I AM GOING

You can go to Iraq and get your head blown off ... TRUST ME I DONT CARE

Neither do we care about you or your son.
