Evaluation of the policies of George W. Bush and his Republican conservatives on America.

Here is a reality that can not be denied. The wealthy and the small business owners are the people that can avoid Federal Income Taxes either by using the legal loopholes that were placed in the law to help the FEW or by cheating on their taxes.

A perfect example is Dick Cheney. He had an AGI last year of about $1.7 Million. With that level of income we would expect him to be paying about 33% of that income in Federal Taxes after his exemptions and deductions. Cheney paid only 23% in federal Income taxes last year or about $170,000 less then if he had paid the expected 33%.
Cheney does not release the supporting scheduled for his income taxes. The law only required the release of the 1040 and that is all we get from Cheney. Just how he avoided $170,000 in income tax is NOT released to the public. That is something that Congress needs to change. The President and VP should be required to make public there entire Federal Income Tax. Bush has released his entire return to the public.

I an confident that Cheney only uses LEGAL Tax Loop Holes to avoid taxes but many small business owners are not in that situation. I have no indication that the average non business owner is any more honest than the average Small Business Owner but the fact remains that the ONLY people that have any real chance to cheat on their Federal Income Taxes is the small business owner. I am not saying that all or even most small business owners cheat on their taxes but they are the group that has the ability to cheat the Federal Government.

Individuals who work for some one else have their income directly reported to the Fed as do mortgage companies and banks. If an individual does not include all their income from either W-2’s or 1099’s the Fed computers compare the two and if you fail to report ALL your Income you will most likely receive an exception letter.

Small business owners have many ways to avoid taxes. They can transact some of their business in cash and not report the transaction. They can charge personal expenses as if they were business expenses. They can pad things like depreciation or non business expenses. They can have employees do work on their properties and change that labor to other jobs and make it appear as if it were an operating expense. They can charge personal items on the company credit card. Some small business owner’s use all these are others dodges to avoid Federal Income Taxes.

I wondered why Bush has been cutting the number of IRS agents. Then I realized that these agents are the people that would uncover the tax fraud by small business people who cheat. They are not needed for non business owners because their information is directly reported to the IRS and the computers can determine if an individual fails to report all of their Income. Mortgage interest is also reported to the fed and today you must have documentation for chartable deductions and local taxes.

Bush tells us just how important the small business owners are to our economy. That is true but they should be required to pay their fair share of taxes. We are not talking about the RATE of tax but the AVOINENCE of taxes by cheating. Given the annual deficit, we should be enforcing our tax laws and it is time we add the IRS agents needed and simplify the tax code to eliminate most of the LEAGL Tax Loop Holes like the ones Cheney use to avoid paying taxes. Step one should be enforcement. Step two should eliminating tax loop hopes that benefit the few. Step three return to the tax rates of the 1990’s for the top 10%. Finally cut the pork, earmarks, the Iraq War and some Foreign Aid.

Then we should see what the situation is with our budget deficit. I bet we would be a LOT closer to a balanced budget if not actually have achieved the feat of balancing what we are spending with the tax revenue being collected! We might find we could even begin paying DOWN the National Debt. I will be sending this Blog to the two final Presidential Candidates.

They have the VAST majority of the income and wealth. That does not excuse cheating on their taxes which is the issue!
You just said that the means they avoid taxes is legal. So you can't say they're cheating on their taxes.Yes, the wealthy have the vast majority of income and wealth because they earn the most -- by definition. But they still pay disproportinoately more of their income.

That is not true. Look at Cheney with an income of $1.7 Million only paying 23%.

Raise my taxes too high and I rebase the company in fucking Ireland at 12% income taxes

Yeah!

the loopholes were put into law to allow the people in congress to keep their money. I have told you that those rich people in congress is not going to pass laws that will affect them directly. doesn't matter which party.

Do you have a PROBLEM READING?
You might have a problem staying on this site after this.  Nothing to defend yourself as to why to let you keep posting here.  Instead you just add another insult.  I am only a user so I can only blacklist when someone irks me.  The owner of this private site can ban people who irk him.  I can't speak for Brad but if I were him I'd ban your ass.  Your entertainment value doesn't hold up to your idiocy and annoyance level.

You beat the same old tired drum and sing the same old tired song.  Here's a thought that would never occur to you:  By your own admition, you don't know why VP Cheney didn't have to pay the extra $170k.  That means that there is actually a possiblilty that he did something beneficial with that money.  But people like you just think of him as the devil and forget about innnocence until proven guilty for anyone with money.

I think that our society would be so much better off if wealthy people could chose how to help society with their money rather than being forced by the government.  Of course there should be some level of required investment in the government but the vast majority should be left to people who are obviously more efficient with their money.

This is the attitude that is creating the Job loss in America. If you are an American you are a SAD Excuse for one!

It is not the wealth of those in Congress but the desire to placate the rich that help finance their campaigns and get them into power.

To remind Gene what he wrote:

You begrudge the wealthy not paying more even when they use perfectly legal means and despite the fact that they pay the vast majority of taxes that goes far beyond their relative share of the nation's income.

I also noticed you didn't answer a single question I asked:

1. Please explain how I need you. I see how you need me. But I don't see how I need you.

2. Extrapolating, the wealhty and other tax payers are certanly needed by the parasite class. But I don't see how those tax payers need the parasite class.

3. What exaclty do you do for a living? Do you even have a full time job?  Please explain how you are contributing.

4. What weird bizaaro world do you think you live in in which the pepole who do nothing actually have control? If you increase taxes on the people who make stuff, transport stuff, or grow stuff they will have an incentive to find ways of reducing their tax burden or costs in other ways.

Answer these questions, gene or you're gone. I've had it with your bi-daily rants of utter bullshit.

I'll give you 24 hours.

This is the attitude that is creating the Job loss in America. If you are an American you are a SAD Excuse for one!

I'm as loyal to America a America is to me.

Unlike you, I actually contribute something to America. I am not a leech on it. I create jobs. Pay vast amounts of taxes. Giive large amounts to charity.

What do you do? You sad, pathetic little parasite.

But if the American people support stealing what I earn to give to others who provide nothing in return then hell ya. I'll adapt.

It's people like you that are pathetic excuses for Americans.  You support policies that time and time again hurt the United States.  You then blame others for your mistakes.

Americans aren't loyal to American products and services. They shop on price.  Why should't I?

I pay enough in taxes each year.

And at some point the question has to be asked: How exactly do I need people like you? I can see how America needs me. It needs me and people like me very much.  But the federal government does remarkably little for tax paying Americans. (roads, schools, police, fire departments, etc. are all local and state taxes).

How exactly do I need people like you?

the best answer I can think of. to remind you that he needs you.

Col Gene needs to read Atlas Shrugged.

Col Gene is exactly like Philip Rearden.

Philip Rearden

The younger brother of Hank Rearden, and a Moocher. He lives in his brother's home in Philadelphia and is completely dependent on him. He believes that the source of his sustenance is evil and would love to see him destroyed. He has never had a career and spends his time perfunctorily working for various social groups. He becomes resentful of his brother's charity. He then requests that he be granted a job from his brother because he should not have to be burdened by the feeling of inadequacy of not earning his own livelihood. When confronted by his brother on how this job should be a mutually beneficial arrangement, Philip shrugs the argument off as irrelevant and that the job should be entitled to him solely based on his need for money and the fact of familial ties. Philip Rearden appears in sections 121 and 161.

Gene and his ilk clearly need the wealthy.  But the wealthy don't need him.  When the moocher class forgets this, they propose policies that cause the producers to adapt such as outsourcing or replacing low skill jobs with machines.  The moochers then complain that the producers are greedy or don't care.

And they'd be partially right. I don't care. But I'm not greedy. I simply don't like having my property stolen at the point of a gun in order to be handed over to someone else who does nothing for society.

There's that old saying "you give an inch, they take a mile", I have to say Col has finally taken that mile and beyond. It was only a matter of time before Col finally said something so stupid, to the wrong person that it would put him within inches of getting the good old boot thur the door.

But there is no denying that Col, if he goes, will go out with style. His own style anyways. No matter how much many of the liberals of this site hate or dislike Bush, I would say (guess) maybe 2% of them actually graced any of Cols articles and actually came to his defense or at least agreed with him somewhat. Goes to show just how lost Col is. It still amazes me how he found his way to this site, created a profile and started posting articles. Hell, I'm impressed he knows how to use a TV or a radio after the way he's been acting on this site.

Col,

A perfect example is Dick Cheney. He had an AGI last year of about $1.7 Million. With that level of income we would expect him to be paying about 33% of that income in Federal Taxes after his exemptions and deductions. Cheney paid only 23% in federal Income taxes last year or about $170,000 less then if he had paid the expected 33%.

So you are mad cause Cheney didn't pay $170,000? So this is why we can't pay the deficit down? Idiots like Hillary and John Edwards want to add millions in spending, the Democrats wanted to add millions to the SCHIP for adults and children of Parents that make between $50 and $80 thousand and you are bitching about $170,000?

I wondered why Bush has been cutting the number of IRS agents. Then I realized that these agents are the people that would uncover the tax fraud by small business people who cheat.

ROFL, this is the worst conspiracy theory I have ever seen. The 9/11 conspiracy theories on how it was a bomb not a plane that hit the Pentagon and how there was a bomb strapped to one of the planes that hit the towers and how fire fueled by airplane fuel could have not melted the steel in the towers seem to make more sense than you ever will.

Bush underfunding the IRS so that Cheney can get away with $170,000. I guess Cheney is an idiot if that was the most money he could get away with.

"I hate to see you go. But I love to see you leave" John Travolta in Face-Off. Nuff said.

I will vote for Barack Hussein Obama (Just had to add the middle name for fun) if his idea of change meant getting rid of Col gene before the new Joeuser.com site is up. that would definitely mean change.

Well, he does provide a little bit of entertainment. But then American Idol is or will be on TV so we won't lose much entertainment if h's gone. I'll be honest Brad, I saw the article about the new Joeuser site and I would hate to see Col's name on those top lists.

It's simply amazing how someone can think more IRS agents are needed.  LOL.
