Evaluation of the policies of George W. Bush and his Republican conservatives on America.

“That's because this bill was meant to stimulate the economy not help the poor. The money was put in the hands of those they believed would best use it to stimulate the economy. Paying bills and putting the money away for a raining day will not stimulate the economy and is what most likely will happen if the money was given to the wrong people.

Besides, money will go to more people than you said they would, maybe you should read my article and begin to retract your articles you fool! “

The above is the blathering stupidity of a total fool.

The MOST effective way to stimulate the economy would be to have extended the unemployment benefits the GOP stopped. People who have no income do not spend money. That help could also been started NOW not in May like the rebates.

However the real poof that the above comments are from one of the brain dead on JoeUser is that the issue was that the GOP Ignored the Disabled vets. We have the GOP who professes to be supportive of the military and who claim they want to help the economy defeating the very actions that are most likely to provide some help to the economy that their economic policies have brought us to the edge of a recession. At the same time they IGNORE the disabled Vets who have fought for our country.

The GOP are the same people that up to about a month ago were telling us the economy was sound. They lie and then bloc the very actions that may help when they finally acknowledge that the economy is in real trouble. Their Presidential candidate admits he does not have a good understanding of economics and was AWOL from the vote in the Senate on the Economic recovery package. He is the same person who said today he believes the majority agree with his conservative principals. Anyone that believes the majority want to have warmed over Bush for another four years in Iraq or with the economy need to follow the White Rabbet with the gold pocket watch down the hole. They truly live in WONDERLAND!

I guess it takes one to know one?

yes, lets stimulate the economy by giving more money to those who don't have jobs as oppose to helping them find jobs. You are definitely a genius. Of course, your own stupidity proves my comment was correct. Just look at the bolded words, why would we give this money to people who will not spend it when the purpose of the stimulus plan is to spend the money? Are you retarded or something? Let me say it in words only you can comprehend:

THIS BILL WAS NOT MEANT TO HELP POOR PEOPLE AND VETERANS BY GIVING THEM MORE MONEY, THAT IS WHAT WELFARE IS FOR. THIS STIMULUS PACKAGE WAS MEANT TO BOOST THE ECONOMY. IT WAS MEANT AS A ONE TIME DEAL, NOT A PERMANENT MONEY GIVE-A-WAY. YOU DON'T PUT MONEY IN THE HANDS OF THOSE WHO WILL NOT USE IT FOR IT'S INTENDED PURPOSE. PAYING BILLS AND SAVING FOR A RAINY DAY WILL NOT RESULT IN THE BOOST THE STIMULUS PACKAGE WAS MEANT TO CREATE. INSTEAD OF CRYING ABOUT WHO DIDN'T GET MONEY OR ENOUGH OF IT, YOU SHOULD BE DECRYING HOW BAD THE IDEA IS IN THE FIRST PLACE. THE PROBLEM IS YOU ARE SO STUCK ON POINTING OUT EVERYTHING THAT YOU THINK BUSH AND THE GOP DO WRONG THAT YOU BECOME TOO STUPID TO SEE THE REALITIES OF LIFE.

NO ONE HERE ACTUALLY LIKES THE IDEA OF GIVING MONEY AWAY IN THIS MANNER BUT GUESS WHAT, THE REPUBLICANS AND THE DEMOCRATS AGREED TO THE BILL AND PASSED IT, ESPECIALLY CONSIDERING THE DEMOCRATS ADDED MORE TO THIS BILL MAKING A STATEMENT THAT NOT ONLY DO THEY LIKE THIS BILL BUT THEY FELT ADDING MORE MONEY TO THE BILL MAKING THE DEFICIT WORSE WAS OK SO LONG AS THEY WERE GETTING WHAT THEY WANTED.

NOT ONCE HAVE YOU BITCHED ABOUT HOW THIS WILL MAKE THE DEFICIT WORSE, ESPECIALLY SINCE THE DEMOCRATS ADDED MORE MONEY TO THE BILL, EVEN AFTER TAKING A FEW THINGS OUT BEFORE APPROVING IT. WHERE IS YOUR OUTRAGE AGAINST THE DEMOCRATS AND ADDING MORE TO THE DEFICIT WHEN THEY DECIDED TO ADD MORE TO THIS BAD IDEA OF A BILL? YOU ARE A HYPOCRITE COL GENE AND YOU ARE ALSO THE LUCKIEST MAN ON EARTH BECAUSE YOU STILL HAVE YOUR WORTHLESS BLOG ON THIS SITE.

That's not what foxnews.com says:

"GOP senators refused to relent in their opposition to those ideas, but did agree to add $300 rebates for older people and disabled veterans to a $161 billion measure the House passed last month."

That looks to me like veterans are gonna get some money. But hey, if you're problem is that they (including you probably) are only getting $300. I am willing to spare $100 out of my $600 and $50 out of each of my 2 kids $300 (if that is what they gonna do) and send it to you or any veteran that believes they got screwed by the Gov't. I mean, after all, it should be an equal distribution right? We are all Americans, right?

Better yet, because veterans gave their lives for our country I say they should be tax exempt and they should be given a house free of charge. Of course utilities are on them. Hows that Col, you like that idea. Oh yea, you can't reply, right? That's OK. I'm sure you think that's a wonderful idea, especially if we can get rich people who's kids never join the army to pay for them thru huge taxation right? Ain't that a grand idea? They fight for us, we give them free food and shelter. It's only fair. Right?
