Evaluation of the policies of George W. Bush and his Republican conservatives on America.
Pledges branded with hot coat hangers while George W. Bush was fraternity President
Published on September 30, 2004 By COL Gene In Politics
It keeps getting better and better. It turns out that Delta Kappa Epsilon applied hot branding irons made out of coat hangers to the backs of pledges when George W. Bush was President of the Fraternity at Yale. The branding was done to 40 pledges and the hazing scandal was reported in the campus newspaper. The story was investigated and the fraternity was fined for the branding by the Yale Interfraternity Council. In a school newspaper interview with George W. Bush explained away the incident, saying "There's no scarring mark physically or mentally." Members of the fraternity that were branded when George W. was President still bear the mark today.

This story was investigated by the STAR newspaper when Bush was governor of Texas and he defended the illegel torture of the young fraternity pledges in the late 60's as a harmless prank. Looks as if George W. would be right at home in the prison system in Iraq!

reply to drmiller.

The pattern is very clear. George W. NEVER admits when he has made a mistake. That is important today. This man is in a dream world - the economy, debt, jobs, Iraq etc.

Now Professor Bradford Lee, of the Navel War College in Newport, RI said, Bush chased him, spanked him and made him bend over a desk with his pants down while Bush branded him like a pig with a triangle-shaped branding iron. Prefessor Lee still has the scars, physical and emotional to this day.

Again:

The issue is irrelevant but certain parts does have a bearing. He tried to gloss over a mistake like he tried to gloss over his mistaker on WMD in Iraq. Apparently his character haven't really changed.

Not only did he try to gloss anything over, but no one has a problem with his torture? You don't think that defines his character? I mean, military service is one thing, many of us would want out of that, but toturing? Not me.

Did he *personally do it? Can you prove that *he* did it? All I"ve heard so far is that he was *involved* in it. And on top of all that it happened in college can you explain *what* bearing that has to what's going on now
on Sep 30, 2004
No more bearing than the whole "swiftboat" thing with Kerry.

reply to drmiler Did Bush do this himself? YES. Read my post from Professor Lee. George was not only President of the fraternity but :

"Bush chased Lee, spanked him and made him bend over a desk with his pants down while he branded him" If you do not think that behavior is sick, there is something wrong with you!
