Evaluation of the policies of George W. Bush and his Republican conservatives on America.

President Bush released a three page unclassified version of the NIE that the NYT and AP released over the weekend. The unclassified version of the report does say that the Iraq War is the “cause celebre” for Islamic Extremists, breeding deep resentment of the United States in the Muslim world. This is also in line with the report by the CIA that the number of al Quaeda has increase world wide from 20,000 before 9/11 to 50,000 today.

In addition, the President of Pakistan was interviewed within the hour on CNN and flatly stated he disagrees with Bush about the War in Iraq and said our invasion has made terrorism worse and the world LESS SAFE!.

Now Bush and Cheney are clearly at odds with both our intelligence agencies and the President of Pakistan as to how the Iraq war has impacted terrorism!

Iraq War is Breeding Islamic Hate toward America

What the title should really say is:

Iraq War shows Islams true colors

or

Iraq War excuse for turning "peaceful" Muslims into terrorist

BTW did you notice the lack of love towards France in the begining of the war? I guess back then French people she have feared possible terrorist attacks from Americans right? Not only are you ignorant but stupid as well, the thing is you only have a 50% chance of bettering yourself. You see the difference between stupid and ignorant is that ignorance can be cured with education, stupidity on the other hand is forever. Were you blond once?

I'm sure us getting into the war pissed off a few Nazis too. I guess we should have left your buddies to kill jews for your enjoyment, right Gene?

Yeah col jihad. If fighting nazis created more nazis in the short term, should we have stopped fighting? If fighting crime made criminals made and created more, should we stop also?

Let me make it SIMPLE for you--Our invasion of Iraq has INCREASED the danger to you and me.

If in WWII for example, for each German we killed three more joined the fight, we would have LOST the WAR!

To WIN we must reduce the number and effectiveness of our enemy not embolden and increase their numbers!

You didn't answer the question col.

To WIN we must reduce the number and effectiveness of our enemy not embolden and increase their numbers!

From the report:

"United States-led counterterrorism efforts have seriously damaged the leadership of al-Qa’ida and disrupted its operations"

If we have disrupted their leadership, why are the level and change in their tactics taking place? The NIE says they have expanded and moved to other countries. That does not sound like their effectiveness has been reduced. What must be taking place is that as we kill a leader they have others willing and ready to take up the fight.

The bottom line is that the Iraq War is the source of the increased terrorism thought the world. That is what the NIE and the President of Pakistan have concluded. That does not make us safer!

Bush and those that blindly follow him totally ignore the reality and “Stay the Course” to disaster.

Col jihad, it's a war. The islamists are not dumb, and they will change their tactics. That is one advantage for them that they are not tied down to one country. You are right about one thing col jihad (finally), they do replace their leaders, but that is the not the fault of us. Islam is the problem col, you need to start realizing that.

The bottom line is that the Iraq War is the source of the increased terrorism thought the world.

And that's totally false. The report said Iraq was basically a controversial issue which terrorists use to make their case. It's really just an excuse. If it wasn't Iraq, it would be Israel. If not Israel, then something else. It's all propaganda that unfortunately people like believe.

You want to know the real reason for increased terrorism in the world? Islam.

The NIE below clearly states that the Iraq war is the cause of increased terrorism. The President of Pakistan said the Iraq war has made terrorism WORSE and that he was in disagreement with Bush. He lives this war and is a lot more aware with DIRECT knowledge then GWB. For Bush to ignore the conclusions of his own Intelligence Agencies shows he is not interested in the facts just what he wants to be true. Anyone that continues to argue that the Iraq war has made us safer is totally out of touch with reality!

AND WHAT DID YOU THINK WOULD HAVE HAPPENED? DUH. IF YOU WOULD HAVE CONSIDERED THIS A LEGIT WAR (JUST TAKE THIS AS A HYPO QUESTION) WOULD THIS HAVE BEEN A SURPRISE TO YOU OR WOULD YOU HAVE EXPECTED IT? wE HAVE BEEN IN DANGER FOR YEARS NOW THIS IS NOTHING SO, SO NOW THERE ARE MORE MUSLIMS MAD AT US, WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE? THEY BEEN HATING US ALL ALONG, THEY ARE ONLY STARTING TO EXPRESS THEMSELVES VOCALLY NOW, HOW DO YOU THINK THEY MANAGED 9/11, IT'S NOT LIKE THEY WERE CHANTING IT ON TV EVERYDAY THAT THEY WERE GONNA HIGHJACK 4 PLANES ON 9-11-01 AND SLAM THEM INTO DIFFERENT PLACES. WAKE UP ALREADY, THIS WAR HAS DONE NOTHING THAT ANYTHING ELSE WE WOULD HAVE DONE TO THE MUSLIM PEOPLE WOULDN'T HAVE DONE EXCEPT BRING OUT THE REAL ISLAMIC MUSLIM INTO THE LIGHT. GET A CLUE ALREADY, THEY HATED US BEFORE BUSH, THEY HAVE HATED US DURING BUSH AND THEY WILL HATE US AFTER BUSH, BUT IF WE SIT BACK AND DO NOTHING THEY WILL NOT ONLY HATE US BUT DEFEAT US AS WELL. WE MIGHT AS WELL GIVE THEM THE NUKES TO KILL US IF WE GONNA GIVE UP AND SURRENDER.

I can always count on you Col to prove just how stupid you really are.

United States-led counterterrorism efforts have seriously damaged the leadership of al-Qa’ida and disrupted its operations;

This is from the same declasified pages as this:

The Iraq conflict has become the .cause celebre. for jihadists, breeding a deep resentment of US involvement in the Muslim world and cultivating supporters for the global jihadist movement.

What you have been using to prove your point. Now make up your mind is this report wrong or is it right, or only the parts that make Bush look bad are right? I dare you to answer this question you ignorant fool. You don't even know how to debate without putting your foot in your mouth with every keystroke.
on Sep 27, 2006
You do not go to war to increase the danger but to reduce or eliminate the danger. We have sustained 2,700 dead, 20,000 combat injuries and 1/2 Trillion Dollars to make us LESS SAFE. You like Bush must be out of your mind!
on Sep 27, 2006
You do not go to war to increase the danger but to reduce or eliminate the danger.

Long term, yes. Short term, you are bound to increase it. Isn't that why people go into battle in the first place. Increase the danger to yourself in the hope that doing so will reduce it after the battles have ended. Or if not reduce danger, improve position, such that the danger is no longer of much consequence.
on Sep 27, 2006
We have been in Iraq LONGER then WWII. Just when is this policy to begin working?

We have not reduced the danger but have made the task of defending ourselves much more difficult. Bush was correct when he said the terrorists need only be successful one time. We need to be successful every time.

What Bush and his policy in Iraq have done is multiplied the times we must be successful. In addition he did not complete the job in Afghanistan which now is breeding more of the same that were successful on 9/11. Bush has screwed the pooch and it is time the he and everyone else understand that. We need NEW leadership that learns from the past not just repeat the mistakes!

The Iraq War was a mistake that has made America less safe and made the job of preventing another attack MUCH HARDER!
on Sep 27, 2006
saw the CNN interview yesterday and the President of Pakistan said the Iraq War has made the world “LESS SAFE”.

Not exactly the same as your original claims as to what he said, is it? At least you're man enough to correct yourself. Too bad you can't see past your Bush hatred on other issues, but at least I'll credit you for correcting your false statement on this one topic anyway.

You forgot his answer to the question did he disagree with President Bush on how our invasion impacted terrorism. He said in plain simple English that he DID NOT AGREE WITH BUSH.

The NIE clearly says " The Iraq War has become the cause celebre, breeding a deep resentment of US involvement in the Muslim world and cultivating supporters for global jihadist movement".

Bush and Cheney are clearly on the opposite side of both our intelligence agencies and the President of Pakistan as to how the Iraq war has impacted terrorism both in Iraq and around the world! We have sacrificed American lives, American injuries and ½ Trillion tax dollars to make terrorism worse. Way to go George!
