Democrats in House keep their promises

It is time for the Senate to act

In the past two weeks the Democrats in the House have passed the following Bills to help the Average American:

Recoup Billions from BIG OIL
Increase Minimum Wage
Impact port security by implementing 9/11 Commission Recommendations
Stem Cell Research Funding
Give Medicare authority to negotiate lower drug costs
Cut Student Loan Rates.

Now it is up to the Senate. It looks like the GOP will try and stop all these bills that would help millions of Americans. If that is what happens, the 2008 elections will be essential for Americans to get what they want changed by creating a veto/ filibuster proof Congress and a Democrat in the White House.

Now the House should make the tax cuts for Middle Income Taxpayers permanent, enact an energy policy that will move us to REAL energy independence and begin oversight of the Bush Administration.

Right! The Democrats are HERE! Now everything is perfect!!!!!!!!

You're a moderate Republican?!?! I don't know of ANY Republicans, moderate or otherwise, who are bigger media whores for the Democrats than you, Col.

Come to think of it, I don't know of many DEMOCRATS who are bigger media whores for the Democrats than you are, either!

Recoup Billions from BIG OIL? YAY! Higher taxes!

(psst, you might wanna look at how many Dems are invested in big oil...they're unlikely to cut their own throats, so I really doubt this is true)

Increase Minimum wage? Cut the number of jobs for the poorest who need them most! YAY!

Stem Cell Research Funding? YAY! Higher taxes!

Cut Student Loan Rates? YAY! Higher taxes!

Sorry, Col. I do not share your enthusiasm on most of these. Until we start realizing the Democrats are no better for America than are the Republicans, we will not see anything even beginning to resemble positive change.

You do realize that this is all just to kick the Republicans in the balls. The Democrats have no real intentions of helping the American people. Real changes to real problems take time to understand, create a solution, then implement it. You don't just rush a bunch bills and claim to be doing the right thing. And please don't come with the crap about how they have had many years under Republican control to understand, create a solution and implement it. They spent more time making Republicans look bad and less time trying to think of real solutions to some of the problems and situations we have today. I'll give you a great example: They are great at criticizing the war, making bills to prevent troop increase or paying for the war but they have yet to show anything that remotely resembles a solution to the Iraq war, other than leaving the Iraqis to their own demise, which BTW it's not a solution but a cowardly act.

But it doesn't matter, you will now go about explaining what you think the real issue is here as you usually do while completely ignoring other peoples opinions, facts, links and points. Writing this post alone is enough of a waste of my Internet bandwith, but sometimes it has to be done. Good luck with this article. Not.
