Evaluation of the policies of George W. Bush and his Republican conservatives on America.

Today CNN covered a story about the Sec. of Homeland Security questioning the cost to implement the new state driver’s licenses under the Real ID Act that was signed into law May 11, 2005 and which has yet to be implemented. This is an essential element to know the identify people in the U.S. There could not be anything more basic to fight terrorism in the United States.

To show just how faulty the judgment of the Bush administration is first over two years after Bush signed it into law we are still talking about the cost.

Second let’s look at that cost. The estimate according to Secretary Chertoff is $11 Billion Dollars. The estimated cost to the United States from 9/11 is between $1-2 Trillion dollars! Bush is spending over $12 Billion Dollars every month on a useless war in Iraq. Now let’s see should we spend $11 Billion to help protect our country from future attack or spend $12 Billion next month in Iraq? Should we spend $11 Billion to help prevent another 9/11 or risk another 3,000 dead Americans and two trillion dollars?

These are the choices Bush and this administration is making about the future of our country!

"Real ID" and every other national ID card is a bad idea.  I think it's great it hasn't gone anywhere.

Excuse me though, when I saw the title, I thought it was About you, not By you. ;~D

i agree with this. what are Russia.

lets see he has been saying that the war was costing 44 billion a day now it is only costing 11 billion a month. he has also been saying that bush has added 4 trillion to the national debt. now on another post he says it is only 1 trillion. i guess he is a real liberal. and in this post he says it is 2 trillion. he has no idea what he is talking about.

YOU are DUMB!

I NEVER said the war was costing 44 Billion per month. I have used the Pentagon figures of $12 Billion per month. The $4 Trillion will be added to the National Debt in the 8 years Bush will be in office is what I have said and you can go to my book for PROOF. The $1 Trillion is was the estimated cost of JUST the Iraq war and is part of the $4 Trillion Bush added to the debt since EVERY penny of the cost in Iraq we are borrowing. I finally found someone dimmer then Bush-- YOU!

That is why biometrics must be incorporated into the cards as well as the data base created when the cards are issued. The ability to identify a person is essential for security. In addition it is the law which Bush has not enforced-- What else is NEW! Just like the 700 miles of fence-- It is the law and Bush is dragging his feet on that one was well. Just like our immigration laws.

Once again gene chooses to blame Bush.

Action by a divided U.S. Senate on Thursday raises new questions about the fate of a contentious plan to outfit Americans with new digital identification cards by 2013.

By a 50-44 vote mostly along party lines, the chamber set aside a Republican-backed amendment to a homeland security spending bill that would have spread $300 million across the states to help them implement the so-called Real ID Act.

HOW is $300 Million to pay for a system the Bush administration claims will cost $11 BILLION?

We are spending more THEN $300 million PER DAY IN IRAQ! THE ISSUE I RAISED ARE THE PRIORITIES OF BUSH.
