Evaluation of the policies of George W. Bush and his Republican conservatives on America.
Published on September 17, 2007 By COL Gene In Politics

As the Bush presidency moves toward an end, more and more critics are blasting George W. Bush and his policies. They are coming from former members of his administration, from world leaders and from some of the most knowledgeable people in our country.

People like Allen Greenspan who says Bush and his fiscal policies were a disaster. Mr. Greenspan also said in his book that the Iraq War was not because of WMD, or because Saddam was an evil dictator. It is not because Saddam refused to follow U N Resolutions or to establish democracy in Iraq. It was because of OIL. Yes we killed over 3,700 young Americans and injured more then 27,000 more for Big Oil!

Then you have three former Surgeon Generals under Bush who said, his administration was all about Politics and not about science and the health of Americans. They all said his administration controlled what they could say so it was in agreement with his political ideas and not the truth about the science and health of our people.

Then this week a so called friend of GWB and the former President of Mexico said that he never met a more stubborn and controlling person then George W. Bush. Mr. Fox was referring in particular about the Bush policies on the Iraq war and immigration.

Finally was George Tenet who provided enumerable examples of the warnings Bush Ignored from the CIA that America was to be attacked by al-Qaeda PRIOR to 9/11.

These most recent examples have nothing to do with the liberals or the 2008 Presidential campaign. They have nothing to do with the Press. They are the opinions of some of the most influential people on the earth about the weakness of the 43rd President of the United States. These comments and many others that have surfaced earlier and that will develop in the years to come will form an increasing clear picture of just how bad a President George W. Bush was for our country! It will clarify a legacy of failure and enduring harm to our country and to the world.

Sorry to burst your incompetent press inspired idiot bubble, but Alan Greenspan himself has already discredited this bit of drivel.

I know what the press has been saying, but here's what Greenspan actually said...

"I was not saying that that's the administration's motive," Greenspan said in an interview Saturday, "I'm just saying that if somebody asked me, 'Are we fortunate in taking out Saddam?' I would say it was essential."

That does not change what Greenspan said as to why the war was started or the fiscal policy of Bush. It also does not change what all the others had to say about the idiot we have as President!

Once again ColGene, you don't let facts get in the way of your stupidity.  How does that fact that Greenspan said it WASN"T the policy of Prs. Bush mean that he said it was?

I'd accuse you of smoking crack, but that would be insulting all the crach whores out there.

Greenspan told Bush in 2001 that he should not allow a return of Annual Budget Deficits. He wanted to TIE the tax cuts to the available surplus to pay for the tax cuts. Greenspan also warned Bush about spending. Bush IGNORED all of that advice and what Greenspan is pointing out in 2007 is that has caused a serious financial problem for our country! Bush is the cause and Greenspan is saying just that!

Yes, the original plan was to have Iraq oil revenues finance the war. The problem was though, when Bush asked other countries to forgive Iraq's debts, they looked at him and asked why they should when he plans on using the main resource of Iraq for his own purposes.

So yeah, the original plan was a good one... if "diplomacy" didn't mess it all up.

To show just how out of touch Bush and Cheney are they are attempting to defend their fiscal policy over the past 7 years. They disagree with Mr. Greenspan. The facts are clear-- The Budget was BALANCED when Bush took office and he added $4 Trillion Dollars of NEW debt. Anyone that would attempt to defend that record is either totally in denial or an idiot! Bush and Cheney are BOTH!

Just a note:
According to a recent New York Times/CBS News poll, some 23% of Americans approve of the job Congress is doing, less than a year after Democrats took over the institution.

Ironically, more people support Bush than the new Congress, with the President garnering a 26% approval rating.

The Democrats have lost almost 10 points since May, 2007, on the Iraq question alone. The Republicans have lost 1%

You forgot to mention this little bit of info... since your talking about critics, talk about the American People, the best and most important critics.

That is correct. People want CHANGE. It is the GOP) and Bush that are preventing that change from taking place. The Democrats DO NOT have the votes to make the changes people want. It will take the 2008 election to fix that problem!

YOU ARE PATHETIC. Bush could not lead his way out of a paper bag. Look at the bottom line from his fiscal policy-- He took a balanced budget and turned it into $4 TRILLION DOLLARE of NEW debt. You and I will pay EVERY year the added interest that NEW Debt will cost - It will be about another $200 Billion EVERY year because of the Bush Debt!
