Col Gene, you do yourself a disservice. A real idiot would argue that, since we have spent so much on this war, we have to continue it until we'd finished it completely.

There in NO MILITARY solution. That is what you do not get. The only end to this war is for the factions in Iraq to come together. That is NOT happening and these differences have gone on for the past 1,300 years. It is time to end our involvement in this war and allow the Iraqi’s to settle it.

I do not think that is likely. However, we have turned what was to be liberation into an occupation and many Iraqi's do not like Americans. The point is that without the factions in Iraq coming together, our staying in Iraq is like "sending good money after bad". When we leave if the factions have not come together the fighting will resume or get worse and everyone will understand we have sacrificed a lot of young Americans for NOTHING in Iraq!

Well, we must be liked, mustn't we? I suspect that we'll be most liked when we offer ourselves up as a sacrifice on the alter of Jihad. I understand we taste of chicken, something of a delicacy, actually. At least, Gene will like us then.

First, we do not occupy Germany. When we did occupy Germany the situation was NOTHING like what we face in Iraq. You better go back and look at the history books. I for one believe it is time to remove most of our troops from Germany, Japan and South Korea and Iraq. We need to finish the job in Afghanistan where the people who attacked us continue to operate more then 6 years AFTER 9/11.

You are an IDIOT. I was stationed in Germany for two years in the mid 1960's and I know we do not occupy Germany. How does this Blog Site have so many people that simply do not know what they are talking about? Are YOU one of the IDIOTS who believes Saddam was behind the 9/11 attack?

shall we examine the attack of 9/11.


the first two attacks were against our economy.

the third attack was against our military leadership.

the fourth attack was aimed at either the president or the congress. that would be the civilian leadership.

you do not attack the economy, and the leadership unless you are planning an invasion. a terriost group wouldnt be planning an invasion. they would be out to cause as much fear as they could. these attacks on 9/11 were a one time only attack. that kind of attack does not cause a lot of fear.
