Evaluation of the policies of George W. Bush and his Republican conservatives on America.

The House approved $50 Billion for the Iraq War and Senate GOP members prevented that bill from coming to a vote. It is now clear what is stopping the Iraq War Funding are the GOP members of Congress and George W. Bush. I would suggest the Defense Secretary address his comments to them.

If our troops do not have what they need it is clearly because of the GOP and President Bush. I wonder how they will justify their actions?

Number of dead and Injured American Military during their terms in office.

The total military dead in the Iraq war between 2003 and this month stands at about 3,133. This is tragic, as are all deaths due to war, and we are facing a cowardly enemy unlike any other in our past that hides behind innocent citizens. Each death is blazoned in the headlines of newspapers and Internet sites. What is never compared is the number of military deaths during the Clinton administration: 1,245 in 1993; 1,109 in 1994; 1,055 in 1995; 1,008 in 1996. That's 4,417 deaths in peacetime but, of course, who's counting?

lets see 4400 during peace time.

I have no idea where that data comes from. If the Military deaths you claim during the Clinton years are correct they must be due to accidents because we were not engaged in any war. If that is the case, how many similar deaths must be added to the Iraq War dead? In addition what about the over 28,000 injured Americans caused by Iraq? To compare the impact on our military under Bush and say it was worse under Clinton is about the most ridiculous thing I can imagine!

Military deaths are military deaths, no matter how or where they happened, nitwit. You'll have to try some other weasel trick.

Then you must add military deaths outside Iraq to the Iraq totals to have a valid comparison. I still maintain the adverse impact on our military over the past 7 years is many times greater then during the Clinton years. There is NO Comparison!!!!!

#1 Adverse Impact of Our Military Under Clinton?

The federalization of the National Guard!

Gene. You whine and moan in many threads about how the National Guard is taking too central a role in Iraq and Afghanistan. Thank your butt buddy Clinton for that.

Part of his drawdown plan included making the National Guard take on 50% of the Infantry and 75% of the Artillery.

Don't sit there and tell anyone how much Bush has deteriorated our military readiness when YOU defend the idiot behind that policy.

NOTHING in Iraq or Afghanistan is the fault of Clinton. The situation in Afghanistan is getting WORSE by the day and the reason is that Bush sent the troops needed to deal with al-Qaeda in Afghanistan to Iraq where there was NO al-Qaeda in March 2003. What in IDIOT we have as Commander-in-Chief. I guess he must have missed that military training when he failed to attend drills in 1972-73!

It's a documented fact gene that al-qaeda was fleeing to Iraq from Afghanistan.

Al-Qaeda was NOT operating in Iraq until Bush invaded Iraq and allowed them to set up shop. Al-Qaeda was operating in Afghanistan and we went in to eliminate them. However before the job was done, Bush invaded Iraq diverted the troops needed to finish the job in Afghanistan and today it is getting worse by the day according to our generals.

Once again, we get a mindless history lesson from the human phlegmball.

Do you simply cut and paste your comments or type out the same words time after time?
