Rebates are NOT the Answer! If we give that money to individuals who spend it at Wal-Mart, it will NOT create U.S. Jobs and will not help our economic problems! It will just add more to the national debt!

My Blog about the GOP help for disabled vets and the poor says “These people not only have denied the most effective elements of any stimulus package” The truth is that the very elements that would be MOST effective to stimulate spending are the very elements that the GOP blocked. What is more effective then extending unemployment benefits? People without a job do not spend money. The continuation of the unemployment benefits would have mean they could continue to by food, clothing etc.

Yea, very smart genius. Put more free money in the hands of people that don't work. The purpose of unemployment is to help people to continue to receive money while they look for another job. Extending this program means that they are not getting jobs. Explain to me the purpose of unemployment when you continue to wanna give more money for not having a job. Why not just eliminate unemployment and transfer all these people to the welfare system?

The benefits to Disabled vets and the poor who were blocked from receiving the rebates because they has LESS then $3,000 in income are the very people that would spend the money first. Thus the issue of stimulation is the reason the Senate Bill should have been passed even if the Conservatives do not care about the poor or disabled Vets.

Again stupidity at it's finest. These people, while I wouldn't mind giving them the money as well, are more likely to have bills and use the money to pay these bills and therefor the purpose of the stimulus package would be lost. You don't seem to understand the purpose of the stimulus package and that makes you an idiot since you didn't even bother to understand it.
