Evaluation of the policies of George W. Bush and his Republican conservatives on America.
per the Sec. of Defense and CIA Director

Yesterday the new CIA director, Porter Goss told a select Senate committee on intelligence that Iraq has become a terrorist training ground. He further admitted that he could not guarantee that theIraqi insurgents have not have stolen enough nuclear material from Russia to create a weapon. Today Secretary of Defense Rumsfeld noted it is likely the United States would again be attacked by the Islamic extremists. In addition, we now have a partnership between Syria and Iran which is the result of what they perceive as a threat to them from the United States.

I would like to understand how 1,450 lives lost in Iraq, 25,000 injured in the $300 billion dollars we have committed has made us safer given the comments of the CIA Director and the Secretary of Defense? For those who continue to argue the Bush decision to attack Iraq was a wise decision, please explain the assessments from Rumsfeld and Goss. It is a shame the president cannot admit when he has made a mistake. I think the clearest indication of this weakness is that even today with the knowledge that there was no WMD or connection to 9/ 11 Bush still contends he would've done the very same thing. I can not understand how the American people can accept such a position that the Iraq War has made us safer given the reality on the ground and the assssmants of Secretary Rumsfeld and CIA Director Goss.

If you read the Blog I said you can lie by not telling what you intend to do. That is what Bush Did. Had he told the voters what he had in mind with Social Security and many of his budget cuts he would be working on the ranch today in Texas!

With that logic, Kerry's entire campaign would be a lie, since all he ever said was that he had "a plan", but never saw fit to fill us in on what his plan might be. Even his most ardent supporters could never seem to pin down what a "Kerry administration" would be like, other than "not a Bush" one.

Sorry, your logic just doesn't work.

I guess we had two bad choices for President. If Kerry had won at least there would need to be a compermise to get anything approved. Now we have a rubber stamp of sorts with Bush and the Republicans in Congress.

Actually I did spend a lot of time reading John Kerry's website. I read his "plan". What I read was a list of things he would do, like "lower middle class taxes", "Make Washington live within a Budget", "create good-paying jobs". All of these sound good, and make even better sound bites, but that's all that was presented, the sound bite. Since the president is not in charge of taxes, Washington's Budget, or even Creating jobs, what was his plan that would "Make" these things happen.

Unless you consider variations of the theme, "I won't be Bush", a "plan", then his website is chalk full of "plans".

If his web site had all this info then *why* did he not win? Why? Because he never bothered to *tell* america *what* his plans were. That and his traitous actions after the war.

I agree that Kerry did not make it clear how his plans would improve the Budget, Jobs, Trade, Social Security etc. In a like manner, the policies Bush has put into place with the help of the Republicans in Congress has not help resolve any of these issues. In fact, most of them have gotten much worse and it is time to look for other solutions. "Stay the course" is not working!!!!!
Look at my Blog about how the Bush suggestion of increasing the Social Security income cap has created another impossible situation. Increase taxes and cut Social Security benefits so he can get his way with the individual accounts that will really help brokers.
