Evaluation of the policies of George W. Bush and his Republican conservatives on America.

I watch the Lou Dobbs show and each night he has a question that listeners respond to via the Internet. I know these polls are not scientifically constructed however the topics that are being covered are in the forefront of the issues that are important to our nation.

It’s remarkable to me night after night those who choose to vote on these polls show the overwhelming disapproval of the policies our government is following. What is most astounding is that the results are not even close - 80, 90 & 95% oppose the policies being followed by Washington.

It doesn’t matter if the question is on foreign policy, the economy, homeland defense, Social Security, the results are the same, the overwhelming majority are against the policies that we’re following in this country. I wonder if the leaders of Congress and President Bush take note of these opinions that are aired night after night.

The only poll that really matters we just had last November. Your side lost.

Draginol, the election is not the only poll that matters. It is no indication that democrats should just lay down and die, as you apparently would like us to do. On the contrary, we work harder to point out how 51% of the country, far from the mandate that those pigs would like us to believe, got duped by this administration into giving them a second term.

I say duped because, in fact, much of their policies weren't even on the table during the election. Do you think the majority of farmers would have voted for them if they knew that the dubya dummy was planning to cut their farm subsidies? I doubt it. Do you think older americans would have voted for the dubya dummy if they knew that he was planning to eviscerate social security? I don't think so. Social security was likened to the third rail during the campaigns.

In fact, were it not for the democrats, and those who oppose the dubya dummy's miserable policies, the dubya dickhead would just quietly eviscerate the constitutional protections we all have, in favor of a clean, mean fascist machine.

We're keeping on top of it all. We're keeping on top of their plans to destroy the Arctic Wildlife Refuge, clean air and water, health care, reasonable tort reform that won't just protect industry, but rather individuals harmed by them, etc.

No, drag, we're very much still here, whether you like it or not. And the dubya dipshit will be gone soon. And, history will not treat him and his cronies very kindly. Of that, I am sure.

You are correct. If Bush had told the American People what he planned for a second term, he would be working on the ranch in Texas. The other issue is that most of the policies Bush is pushing like the farm subsidies, Social Security and his budget cuts require congressional action. Bush may have received 51% of the vote th November but that does not mean the American people agree with the changes he wants made. It is important that members of Congress hear how the voters feel about the changes Bush wants to make. The Bushies want to say he won in November and anything he says should be done. That is not the way our system works! The President does not pass laws under our system his job is to see that the laws Congress enacts are enforced. Bush has failed that responsibility. Look at the immigration laws that he is not in enforcing.

COL Gene & dabe -

You are kidding, right? Or were you really that deaf & blind during the campaign? Bush is doing exactly what he said he would do, pushing exactly what he said he'd push. This "duped" business is just irrational ideology-blinded bullshit.

As for CNN's informal polls, consider its viewership, including you, COL Gene.

Cheers,
