Evaluation of the policies of George W. Bush and his Republican conservatives on America.
Published on October 31, 2005 By COL Gene In Politics

To be elected a person must obtain the support of some group of people. The problem with the office of President is that it and the VP are the ONLY national offices. What we have scene is an administration that has adopted policies that meet the wants of the base that elected him and ignored everyone else. That truth of that is reflected in all the polls about the Bush policies and the fact almost 75% of Americans believe we are, as a nation, moving in the wrong direction.

Although the conservatives got Bush elected, he is NOT President of just the conservatives. In fact the majority of Americans are NOT conservatives. Thus, for President Bush to properly serve our nation, he should move toward the center where the majority are politically. Clinton was a Democrat but his policies were far more toward the center then those of George W. Bush.

The base of an elected president is ALL Americans not just the right or the left!

Unless security exists in Iraq, the votes mean nothing.

No vote means nothing you elitist waste of human flesh! Your childish myopathy against anything but your own little fetish does not negate the fact that they risked life and limb to vote, and you resent it.

what an inhuman turd!

We have GIVEN Iraq over $20 Billion to rebuild that country and Bush and the conservatives in Congress insist that the Americans repay the federal help to rebuild our country.

More money has been spent and earmarked for the gulf states in the past 2 months than the years we've been involved in OIF. When it's all said and done, very little will have been accomplished in the gulf states that wouldn't have been handled at the state, local and private sector level had we left it up to them. On the other hand, in Iraq 35 million people now have a Constitutional form of goverment.

Apparently a Constitutional form of government doesn't mean crap to a cowardly whelp like you. Go shack up with Cindy Whatsername and Jane Fonda, you're already in bed with them, you might as well get something out of it.

You are so full of BS. We have spent almost $300 Billion on Iraq which is far more then in the Gulf. If you look at that area you will see entire communituies are gone. There is no tax base and many of the Americans that lived there have NOTHING. The simple question is why do we GIVE help to others and demand Americans repay to rebuild part of America? You are the inhuman turd. You support a President and congress that turns their back on Americans that have lost everything while spending hundreds of Billions in Iraq. Many of the regulars on JoeUser are truly pathetic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So I can take it from this post that you consider CNN to be a bunch of liars?

Again my brainless bonehead, you are wrong. According to the CBO (from whom you love to quote yourself), $211.7 billion is appropriated for Louisiana alone (The Louisiana Katrina Reconstruction Act S. 1766) Link. Add to that all the other coastal states... the other hurricanes... All other relief organizations and donations and yes, we are talking about close to the same amount of money (yes, I said "more"... so yes, I was wrong too on that account). But we are still only talking about a few months compared to years.

The issue is WHY DO WE EXPRCT AMERICANS TO PAY THE MONEY BACK AND WE GIVE HE MONEY TO OTHERS ?

Today CNN had governors from the three states impacted by Kartina that said they have not received the money they were promised from FEMA. Most of the communities have had to cut more then half off their police and fire personnel because they do not the money to pay their salaries. Not one cent has been approved to rebuild almost 500,000 homes that were destroyed many of which the Insurance companies refuse to pay the owners for their loss. The money to fix the levies to withstand a catagory 5 storm has not been approved. The Corps of Enginers are only authorized to repair the levies to the pre storm condition which we know does not protect New Orleans. We can spend more then 6 billion per month in Iraq, give over 25 billion each year in foreign aid, cut taxes to the wealthy in America and ignore Americans that have lost EVERYTHING through NO FAULT of their own. This is the policy of Bush and the conservatives. This is the responsible way to help Americans. GOD help this country for we are going down a path to distruction.
