Evaluation of the policies of George W. Bush and his Republican conservatives on America.

The Senate Intelligence Committee voted yesterday to include the previously secret advice given Bush as to the probable consequence of our invading Iraq! This information is part of the 229 Page report from the Senate Intelligence Committee and the vote by committee members still had 5 GOP members voting to keep this advice from the public.

The formerly classified intelligence given to Bush said al-Qaeda would see U.S. Military action as an opportunity to increase its operations and that Iran would try to shape a post Saddam Iraq. The advice went on to say that to establish democracy in Iraq would be a “long and difficult and probably turbulent process”.

The significance of this information is that it clearly documents that Bush was warned BEFORE he invaded Iraq as to the most likely results of such an invasion. This is not “Monday Morning Quarterbacking”. The advice given Bush by our intelligence staff has proven 100% correct and almost everything Bush told us about the consequences of invading Iraq has been proven WRONG!

At his news conference yesterday Bush was asked about the formerly classified Intelligence advice that predicted the disaster we see today in Iraq, and Bush restated he took the right action by invading Iraq. The President is just as disconnected from reality today and he was in 2002-2003. For all that voted for Bush in either 2000 or 2004 look at what you have done to our country! This president will go down in history as the worst president in our history in just about every aspect of his policies—Foreign and domestic. I am so glad I did not vote for George W. Bush!!!!!

PLEASE EXPLAIN what IN IRAQ IS positive?

The daily attacks and killing?

The lack of water, electric and fuel?

The inability of the Iraqi government to control the country?

The development of al-Qaeda operating in western Iraq?

The over two million Iraqi’s that have fled their country?

The growth of the death squads?

40 - 50% unemployment?

Inability of Schools and Business to operate?

and some snipets from it

Arena of Ideas: What was the Iraqi reaction to Democrats winning in November, or do they understand the American election process?

while the intellectual people started to fear that this would be the end of the American presence in Iraq.

Arena of Ideas: What has been the Iraqi reaction to Bush's announcement of adding more troops in Baghdad?

The people feel more relief for more American presence in Baghdad. People started to hate the heinous acts of the Militia and Qaeda. People started to feel unsecured because neither the Militia nor Qaeda can protect them from the attacks. What is really going on the ground is very simple Qaeda attacks innocent people (Shiite mostly) and the Militia retaliate on innocent people too (Sunni mostly).

Arena of Ideas: A recent poll came out which said 49% of Democrats hope that Bush's plan to stabilize Iraq fails. What would you say to those people?

(this seams to include dictator col. gene and sean)

this poll is right then it would be really surprising and shocking. I can't imagine how civilized people like the American can think that way, I mean letting the factional competition affect the American image all over the world. If democracy succeed in Iraq we will be grateful to the American people regardless of the differences they have inside.

Arena of Ideas: Many Americans feel like most of Iraq is in civil war and we should pull out. Could you explain to the average American why it is important for us to stay?

Iraq will be in civil war right after the American withdrawal. In fact the only thing preventing Iraq of being in a total civil war is the American presence in it. The American forces should stay in the region not only for Iraq. They should keep a large presence because of the new changes happened the past few years in the Middle East in general. As you can see that there is a wide disturbance in the area extremists started to emerge and get control over things, for example Hamas in Palestine, Ahmedi Nijad in Iran and al Qaeda in Iraq. Those groups have only one goal to achieve and that is killing the largest number of people in the name of God.

Arena of Ideas: If there was a single thing you would hope us, as Americans, could learn about your culture which could help us understand the situation, what would that be?

The Arabic and Islamic culture in general is a tribal one based on Winning and Losing. They don't believe in middle grounds like sharing and the only language they understand is force. That’s why dictatorships and families ruled the countries of the area very well. Democracy will need long years to be adapted in the region because in comparison with dictatorship democracy will appear like a weak and tolerant way of ruling. For example, the Sheikh of the Tribe won't accept to be ruled by his subjects, so the more powerful you appear and control things they will fear you and respect you, the more tolerant you be they will disobey and despise you. This kind of mentality is what we are fighting in Iraq right now hoping we can make them change.

as i have said in the past we will/can not when this war unless/until we win the people

and as long as people like dictator col. gene and the democrat leadership keep opening their big mouths we can not win the people

which means if we lose this war it will be becouse of the people like dictator col. gene and democrat leadership

becouse as long as we look weak the iraqi people will continue to look for someone with strength

and we look weak becouse we are not UNITED

Arena of Ideas: A recent poll came out which said 49% of Democrats hope that Bush's plan to stabilize Iraq fails. What would you say to those people?

I do not hope for failure and I do not understand why anyone would do so. However I am convinced we can not stabilize Iraq with this surge. This is the third time we tried Serge and the violence is worse then ever. We lost over 100 dead Americans so far this month. The reason I believe the Bush plan will fail is it does not solve the REASON for the fighting-- Control of Iraq. We can not win this civil conflict. I do not know who we are fighting. Some of the violence comes from Sunni elements. Some from Shea. Some from al-Qaeda. We can agree that al-Qaeda is our enemy but how do you choose between the other two? We have no business in the middle of nation Building and if Bush had listened to those that had the experience and understating of the Islamic world, he would NEVER have sent our military into a NO WIN war in Iraq!

Gen. Powell was correct when he said,” Break it and it is yours”. Our problem is we can not fix what we have broken. I also believe the large majority of the Iraqi People do not want us occupying their country! Those in power are afraid if we leave they will loosed control. However they too do not really want us in Iraq! To say we did the correct thing knowing what has resulted from our invasion of Iraq simply ignores the reality in Iraq. If Congress and the American People could have looked into the future to see what has taken place in Iraq, Bush would NEVER have be able to get the war resolution passed by Congress.

which means if we lose this war it will be becouse of the people like dictator col. gene and democrat leadership No we lost because of George W. Bush!

saddam had to be taken out

the iranion leadership has to be taken out

Our problem is we can not fix what we have broken. I also believe the large majority of the Iraqi People do not want us occupying their country!

did you ever think it was already broken

NO YOU DID NOT BECOUSE YOU WANT TO BLAME IT ALL ON BUSH

so that you can get a demo/dictator into the white house

I do not hope for failure and I do not understand why anyone would do so. However I am convinced we can not stabilize Iraq with this surge.

your right you do not hope for failure you demand it

becouse if we don't fail in iraq then bush will have been proven right and you wrong

why else do all of your posts either start or end with how bad things are in iraq

just like all of the headlines from all of the media except fox

if we had only lost 100 people per month in world war 2 how much happier the people in this country would have been don't you think

this war is not and has never been about oil

this war is just finishing what was started 12 years ago now or so

i knew at that time someone would have to finish it

and you have forgotten all about the riots that saddam had to deal with during the clinton years i haven't

SO WHEN DO YOU THROW YOUR MEDALS OVER THE FENCE AT THE WHITE HOUSE LIKE KERRY

OH WAIT KERRY DIDN'T THROW HIS OVER THE FENCE HE THROW A FRIENDS OVER THE FENCE

NO WAIT KERRY DID THROW HIS OVER THE FENCE

NO WAIT KERRY DIDN'T THROW HIS OVER THE FENCE

HELP I AM ALL CONFUSED

LETS SEE KERRY VOTED FOR THE WAR AND THEN HE DIDN'T

THEN HE DID AND THEN HE DIDN'T

THEN HE DID AND THEN HE DIDN'T

ANYONE SEE A PATTERN HERE

This war hasn't been lost yet. You are incorrect. We CAN NOT win this Civil War with 160,000 troops.

Saddam had to be taken out. NOT BY THE U.S. He was an evil dictator like many others in this world but removing him from power was the job of the Iraqi People NOT the United States.

Our problem is we can not fix what we have broken. I also believe the large majority of the Iraqi People do not want us occupying their country!

Did you ever think it was already broken? NO There was no Civil War under Saddam.

NO YOU DID NOT BECOUSE YOU WANT TO BLAME IT ALL ON BUSH.

Bush is the cause of the Civil War in Iraq. When he removed Saddam the Sectarian unrest that Bush was warned about took over. The internal factions armed and began fighting to control Iraq. The foreign elements like al-Qaeda came into the country and set up operations similar to the operations they had in Afghanistan.
Bush made two major errors:Sending a non-Moslem ARMY into Iraq TO DO WHAT only the Iraqi PEOPLE CAN DO. Failed to send enough troops to prevent the sectarian violence from erupting and the foreign terrorists from setting up operations.
Those decisions were made by Bush and that is why he is responsible for the failure in Iraq. To END the violence and remove the foreign terrorists now would require a ground force of huge proportions. Every town and city would have to be taken, all the groups disarmed, the border would have to be sealed and all the foreign terrorists would have to be destroyed. Then by bruit force the fighting could be brought to an end. We do not have a ground force large enough to accomplish that mission and the cost in lives and treasure to build such a force is so great that it would not be supported by the American People. YES the war George W. Bush started is LOST and he is the one that is to blame!

wrong again all it will take is for the iraqi people to stand up for themselves

and i believe that someone posted a thread saying that was exactly what they are starting to do

Our problem is we can not fix what we have broken. I also believe the large majority of the Iraqi People do not want us occupying their country!

and non of us including bush want to occupy their country

We CAN NOT win this Civil War with 160,000 troops

your right we cannot win a shooting war and this isn't a civil war

no one is trying to change the government

except al quida and iran

NO There was no Civil War under Saddam.

there still isn't a civil war

a civil war is where two or more groups of local people are trying to change the government or keep the government as is

also there was secterian violence when saddam was in power

but as i keep saying you don't hope we lose YOU KEEP DEMANDING THAT WE DO

and you still keep telling people how to think dictator col. gene
on May 27, 2007
wrong again all it will take is for the Iraqi people to stand up for themselves

That is correct so we should get out and let then end the violence.

What I was saying is that for our military to produce the WIN Bush is talking about and end the violence by military force would require a much larger force. The surge will not do the job. The Iraqi People and Government are not stepping up to end the violence but letting our military absorb the violence. That is why it is time to let the over 300,000 Iraqi troops we have trained and the police deal with the violence. I would have no problem dealing with the al-Qaeda cells in western Iraq but we should leave the areas where the fighting is between the Sunni and Shea factions! That would enable us to remove many of our troops and return some to the States and augment the troops in Afghanistan to end that conflict!
on May 27, 2007
but as I keep saying you don't hope we lose YOU KEEP DEMANDING THAT WE DO

The U.S Military can not WIN with 160,000 troops unless the Iraqi people end the fighting between the various internal factions. There is NO indication that will happen! That is what you and Bush do not get. We have tried the kind of surge Bush is trying three times and it has not worked and will not work this time. To end the violence would take a MUCH larger U.S. Force that we DO NOT HAVE!
on May 27, 2007
We have tried the kind of surge Bush is trying three times and it has not worked and will not work this time.

no we haven't

at least not what he said we were going to do this time

this time and we should have done it all along

we will take a strong hold and then hold it

rather than take it and then leave letting it become a strong hold again
on May 27, 2007
We will take a strong hold and then hold it

We do not have the troops to take and hold the areas where the violence is taking place. You just kid yourself the violence has not gone down. We had 105 dead last month and are already over 100 this month. We can NOT win this civil war with military action with only 160,000 troops. All you are doing is making excuses and in the end this Surge will end just like the last three surges have ended-- No change in the level of violence.

Bush is not changing the reason for the violence and that is why we can not win this Civil War with military action given the number of U.S. Troops we have available!

CBS/AP) Thirty-five percent of Iraq veterans received mental health care during their first year home, according to a new Pentagon study. In addition, 12 percent of the more than 222,000 returning Army soldiers and Marines in the study were diagnosed with a mental problem.

This is another way we have lost from the Iraq War. The military does not have anything close to the resources needed to deal with this problem.
