Evaluation of the policies of George W. Bush and his Republican conservatives on America.

On August 24th I posted this Blog which elicited many truly asinine comments that demonstrate the hypocrisy of many who Blog on Joe User-

Bush & Rice Should be Impeached for NOT Protecting America!

The United States spends Billions of dollars each year to collect and process intelligence for one propose—To provide the President and National Security Advisor information to help defend this country from attack.

In my Blog I documented scores of such warnings provided Bush and Rice by the CIA in the six months before the 9/11 attack on our country. When I pointed out that these warnings were ignored by both Bush and Rice, many on this site defended the inaction of the President and National Security Advisor. Statements such as there was no actionable intelligence were presented. In fact the CIA warnings identified the group that was planning the attacks, they said they were near term and in some cases even identified the use of air planes as missiles that they planned to use in their attack. The only thing they did not contain was the exact date and place. Others claimed the information George Tenet presented about all the warnings was just fluff for his book. This despite those warnings were the end result of thousands of people we employed to do just want they did - providing warnings that Bush and Rice ignored. We should have saved the money and effort because the intended use of the intelligence gathered and presented to the President and his principal security advisor was IGNORED.

In addition, this intelligence and the warnings were NOT presented to the appropriate intelligence committees in Congress at the time for any needed legislative action to help protect our country. In fact the most important warning was kept secret for over 5 years. That warning was provided by the CIA Director on July 11, 2001 that said the danger was so great that the United States needed to be placed on a WAR FOOTING in order to try and prevent Bin Laden from carrying out his intended attacks on our country.

Bottom line the President and National Security Advisor failed to act on the CIA warnings and, as we all know, Bin Laden was successful in attacking our country on Sept 11, 2001. Thus all the warnings that Bush and Rice ignored and failed to provide to Congress were CORRECT! When I document this many on this Blog Site either attack me or attempt to discredit the warnings provided by the multi billion dollar intelligence agency that exists for the express purpose of providing the very information that Bush and Rice IGNORED! WHAT HYPOCRACY on the part of anyone that would defend the failure of Bush and Rice to fulfill their NUMBER ONE responsibility - the security of America!

Let's see.  You make accusations based on vague threats, and we show you how ridiculous your claims are, so you make another post to complain about it?

Once again.

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Former CIA chief George Tenet failed to follow through on his 1998 declaration of war against al Qaeda and the agency diverted counterterrorism money for other uses in the years before the September 11 attacks, according to an agency report released on Tuesday.

For the final time, the intelligence and warnings were not specific....there was NO ACTIONABLE intelligence that would have stopped Sept. 11.

What I posted has NOTHING to do with 1998. It is the warnings that Tenet and the CIA provided Bush and Rice from March thru 4 Sept 2001 that they kept from Congress and ignored!

That is not true. The CIA identified WHO, approximate time and even the tactics of using air craft. By your definition almost NONE of the intelligence is ACTIONABLE. There were many actions including notifying the intelligence committees of Congress that Bush and Rice failed to provide. THEY DID NOTHING!!! More HYPOCEACY!!!!!!

The thing COL Gene can't stand is the unblinking light of truth. He posts his bile and venom, then refuses to listen to any arguments which refute his judgments.

He can't claim his posts are ignored -- he has so many responses to his rants that other bloggers are envious. The difference is other bloggers are open to criticism. And other bloggers admit once in a while that they are wrong.

There is nothing you can say that will change COL Gene's mind, set in quick-dry concrete.

Just let these baseless and ridiculous accusations drop away unanswered, ID. Silence is golden.

Where?  Show me the intelligence that said 19 hijackers were going to attack on Sept. 11, using commercial airlines based in the U.S.

THEY DID NOTHING!!! More HYPOCEACY!!!!!!

Your hatred for Bush is your biggest problem.  You keep telling everyone they "did nothing".  Were you there in the intelligence meetings where secret intelligence and plans were discussed?  Do you think everything regarding terrorism and national defense is posted in the NYT for all to read?  You are a joke gene, and your constant obsession with Bush proves it.

When blogers on this site say that the intelligence provided the President and national security Advisor by the multi Billion Dollar CIA is not creditable and defend Bush and Rice not only ignoring those warnings but failing to provide the intelligence to Congress, they are HYPOCRIITS!!!!! You are not arguing with the intelligence I provided but that the CIA Provided. Thus I am not wrong but just providing the intelligence that the CIA gave to Bush and Rice. Because you can not refute that Intelligence you attack ME!

security Advisor by the multi Billion Dollar CIA is not creditable

don't think anyone said it wasn't creditable. we said it wasn't actionable.

to prove my point some time this year i am going to attack you some place.

Being credible and actionable are two different things.  Too bad you don't know the difference.

It amazes me that it's so hard for you to admit you are wrong.  You seem to just put your hands over your ears and stomp your feet that "I'm right, I"m right".  The intelligence given was not actionable, it was from an agency that had bungled intelligence before, it came from an agency and it's leader that bungled terrorism in the past.  You still don't address any of this.

The CIA said Bib Laden and Al-Qaeda would attack the U.S. SOON. They said in the August 6th PDE that they believed they wanted to use aircraft. What does telling Bush that 19 people would be involved be essential. The July 11th warning that we should go to a WAR FOOTING was enough for Bush, Rice and Congress to do EVERYTHING possible to protect us from the attacks that the CIA warned were coming! NOTHING was done and Congress was not notified of these threats!

Even after the attacks Bush showed just how weak a leader he was in the Clip Moore used showing Bush reading to the kids when he was told of the second attack on 9/11. At first he was just frozen and the expression on his face said he did not have a clue. Then rather then excusing himself and telling the kids the President had to take care of something he resumed reading to them as two more planes were flying toward the Pentagon and White House. He should have returned to his limo as soon as he was informed of the second attack where he was able to communicate with the National Command Authority. Not Bush he stayed in the school for another several minutes reading to school children while the United States was under attack! They say a chain is only as strong as its weakest link. Our weakest link is the first link!

I provide verbatim from the CIA Director and you tell me I will not admit I am wrong-- Wrong about what? George Tenet and his staff developed those warnings and Bush and Rice for whom that Intelligence was developed ignored it as if it did not exist. HOW is what I quoted from George Tenet and the CIA WRONG?

Col I no longer have doubts that you were in the military I doubt you are a legal citizen of the United States or the planet earth. You seem to be the chief hypocrite on JU. In 1998 CIA got wind of attacks planned on the US. The information was a Philippine member of AQ planned to drop 15 air planes in the ocean using nitroglycerin. The Philippine government got this information off of the leader’s laptop computer it had all the information except the names of the people that would carry out the task, the dates it would happen and the airlines targeted.
Ben Laden said the operation was too complicated and scaled it down a bit. Instead he wanted 25 airplanes crashed into important targets in the US. This was what they were working on from 1998 to 2001. The CIA knew there was something coming but not what.
col you and your hypocrisy ignore the facts just to narrow it down to one president.

Allow me to give you a history lesson you should have gotten from reading the NYT. Mr. Carter was the first president that had to deal with terrorist. He did nothing, well almost nothing. I got shot by the terrorist in the Philippines in 1977, but we were only there at the request of the Philippine government not some proactive attempt on Mr. Carter’s end of the war.

Mr. Reagan took over and he saw the problem and did something about it. He initiated the ghost program where we hunted down terrorist and allowed them to know for sure if there is a God.

Mr. Bush did the same thing for his four years in office.

Then Mr. Clinton took over and the ghost program was cut by 76% now we only captured terrorist and shipped them back to their own countries, rendition, where most were released and went back to thinking bad thoughts about us. Eight years of this allowed the enemy to actually build a network that spanned the globe pulling in people from countries that were not on our watch list.

2001 25 airplanes were scheduled to slam into buildings in America. Three made it, one encountered resistance, the rest were grounded before the enemy could take control of the aircraft. Due to miscommunication the passengers were allowed off the planes and the other teams went to ground. When the FBI was finally given the information about the other bad guys, a six hour delay due to the “Wall” between agencies, they tried the next best thing which was to round up all Arab people and quickly vet them to find the bad people. YOU and others screamed that Mr. Bush was violating our civil rights, impeach BUSH was your battle cry. So the remaining terrorists were allowed to go and fight us once more.
I am now free to discuss the ghost program because it has made it out into public light, you will see books about it soon and maybe a movie or two. So you know I am not breaking the national secrets act of 1947 I waited until it was fully out in the media before I started talking about it. Which also proves that col Gene has no clue about how the intelligence field works or what is good information and disinformation. He swallows all the bad stuff and ignores the good.

Mr. Bush did not ignore the threats he acted upon them as best he could with eight months in office. It is hypocritical of you Gene to say that Mr. Bush ignored warnings when the information he had was the same as Mr. Clinton who had eight YEARS to act on it. All of the attacks on America happened prior to Mr. Bush taking office. Yet your hypocritical mind refuses to see it.

You sir are a political hack, not a scholar, and doubtful you were an officer though I have seen two other Army officers of the rank of Colonel that have spoken out like col Gene just not as stupidly. Maybe it is an army thing to berate your country in a time of war?

The CIA said Bib Laden and Al-Qaeda would attack the U.S. SOON.

when is soon tomorrow, next week, next month, two months.

They said in the August 6th PDE that they believed they wanted to use aircraft.

what kind of airplane, where are they getting them. what airport.

The July 11th warning that we should go to a WAR FOOTING was enough for Bush, Rice and Congress to do EVERYTHING possible to protect us from the attacks that the CIA warned were coming!

the only thing bush could have done to make the usa safer with these warnings was to put everyone on house arrest for a year.

“the only thing bush could have done to make the usa safer with these warnings was to put everyone on house arrest for a year.”

That is a LIE. We do all kinds of thins when we have an alert. He should have alerted Congress in March and thought the six months the CIA was providing the warnings. Local, Federal and state law enforcement should have been looking for any suspicious activities. The border should have been sealed. There is a host of action that should have been taken. What Bush and Rice did was NOTHING. I know every time you come to bat you do not hit a home run. However if you NEVER come to bat you will NEVER hit a Home Run. Bush and Rice insured they would never hit a home run and stop the attack on our country. The FAILED their NUMBER ONE task-- Protecting our country!
on Aug 28, 2007
We are spending over $14 Billion per year for intelligence that Bush and Rice IGNORED!!!!!
on Aug 28, 2007
The guy is so stupid he can't even understand that no one said the CIA information is wrong, it was simply useless. Not enough information to take action.

The CIA said Bib Laden and Al-Qaeda would attack the U.S. SOON.

Soon, hmmm. Soon can be 5 minutes from now, 5 days from now, 5 months from now. This is what we pay millions for and depend on? A doctor can be more specific about the day a child can be born.

OK Col, in a "soon" situation how would you have stopped the 9/11 attacks? Would you have locked up every Muslim and/or Arab in the US? Would you have shut down every airport? Would you have sent hundreds of cops, military and Gov't agents to every airport and check every person 1 at a time before boarding a flight and delay every flight by 4 or 5 hours?

Hypocrisy? You're the hypocrite who claims these agencies to be under Bush's control one day and therefore unreliable and then claim them to be truthful the next. You would use Alberto Gonzales if he said one bad thing about Bush.

You wanna call us hypocrites? I call you pot talking about the kettle.
