That is the title of the editorial in my local paper today. The issue is the refusal of the GOP controlled Florida House, Senate and Governor to deal with exploding Real Estate taxes and insurance rates. As much as 80% of Floridians are is real trouble because of local property taxes and skyrocketing insurance rates. This is not a small problem that impacts the ability of Florida residents to buy a new car or move into a bigger home. These are problems that impact their ability to live...

I hope the Democrats publish a list of every GOP member of Congress that voted against helping our children. They need to be removed from office in November 2008. I informed my congress members I would work against them if the voted to uphold this Bush Veto.

Yesterday President Bush began banging the war drums again about Iran acquiring nuclear weapons and invoking WWIII. That is the last thing we or the world needs. The key to preventing Iran from developing their own nuclear weapons is to provide for monitoring their uranium enrichment activities. A concentration of 5% uranium is needed for use as fuel in a nuclear reactor like the one the Russians are helping the Iranians build. The concentration needed for a nuclear weapon is 96%. ...

We have never had a Commander- in- Chief that has been worse for our military. I am so glad that I was not asked to serve any of my 30 years while GWB was President. Below is what Bush has done to our military: He avoided service in Vietnam by getting Daddy to get him a commission in the National Guard he did not earn and did not deserve. He disobeyed orders and regulations while an officer in the Air National Guard by failing to take a required physical which resulted in him ...

This is a stinging rebuke of George W. Bush and the entire Iraq War policy. The White House was stunned and the only comment from the Bush Spin Machine was to thank General Sanchez for his service. General Sanchez not only blasted the way the war was handled but said, the current surge strategy is a desperate move that will not achieve long-term stability. General Sanchez also said the Bush Administration handling of the Iraq war was incompetent with no end in sight. As our most sen...

The British PM announced that Brittan will withdraw 1/ 2 its troops this summer and could be totally out of Iraq by the end of 2008. Do you think Bush will get the message and follow suit?

The Bush administration has a real problem now that the al Maliki government has placed the blame for the September 16th attack on that firm. It now appears there was NO State department convoy on the day of this incident. Blackwater also provides protection to private contractor if that was their function on that day in September 16th shooting, was not to protect State department officials are they protected from Iraqi Courts? The al Maliki government has demanded that the Blackwater...

CNN reported the Iraqi Parliament has declared they can not resolve the major differences that exist between the Sunni, Shea and Kurd factions. The Bush policy of a UNITY GOVERNMENT had failed and it is time for the United States to change its policy. Bush has told us the purpose of our continued and expanded occupation of Iraq was to give the government time to resolve their differences. Now that the parliament has declared they can not come to agreement it is time for the Unit...

The U.S. Constitution is the foundation for our rights and essential for the success of our nation. The federal government was brought into existence by the people through our Constitution. Second, the Constitution is the supreme law of the land that controls the actions of our public officials in all three branches of the federal government. Every elected official swears to UPHOLD the U.S. Constitution. The very foundations of Our Constitution are being violated by the highest elect...

Bush vetoed the S-CHIP health Care bill for low and middle income children because it included children whose families had annual incomes above twice the federal poverty level ($40,000). Bush said these families should pay for their own health insurance. Great- Congress should END Federal health coverage for Bush, Cheney, Congress, the Supreme Court Justices etc. All these senior Federal officials earn more then $40,000 per year and today receive that EVIL socialized medicine paid by t...

Today I watched the House Oversight Committee hearings about private contracting in Iraq. I have commented on the extent that we have employed private contraction in a combat zone in Iraq. Although we have used contractors in the past, the extent of their use in Iraq is far and away greater then in any other war. The House hearings choose not to delve into the details of the most recent incident with Blackwater since the Justice Department is investigating this incident. The disc...

Today the AP ran a story about the staggering medical costs from the Iraq war. The VA is trying to provide some estimates as to the future cost to care for the Iraq War Veterans. The VA has run out of money several times during the past two years and the spending is up 83% since Bush took office. There have been 185,000 veterans that have required care so far and the VA fears that number could reach 700,000 and span 50 Plus years. The experience from this war is different because of...

The Bill to give 3.5 Million children health insurance that today do not have coverage passed Congress in a bipartisan way. Bush has said he will veto this bill while he prepares to request another $190 Billion for WAR! Bush is a lost cause and the voters must turn their attention to Congress. ANY member of Congress that is up for reelection in 2008 that does not vote to override a Bush veto of this bill should be removed from office in November 2008 for turning their backs on these 3...

Yesterday George Bush forcefully defended his fiscal policies at his news conference. It was clear that Bush believes what he is saying despite that the results of the past 6 years show a total opposite reality. Bush again stated his disagreement with the criticism of Alan Greenspan who has said the Bush tax cuts and spending policies were irresponsible and have caused harm to our country. Bush also talked about the inability of Social Security and Medicare to pay the benefits that have...

The Bush Administration has turned more and more to private contractors to provide functions in war torn Iraq. These are PLUMS that have been given American Companies and have cost the American tax payers double and triple the cost to provide the same service by our military that in the past were responsible for security in a war zone like Iraq. Bush has ignored the fact that the size of our military and the missions they have been given are out of balance. Some believe the Army needs...
