Evaluation of the policies of George W. Bush and his Republican conservatives on America.
Time to GET OUT!
Published on May 7, 2006 By COL Gene In Politics

Within the past 24 Hours the following events have been reported:

43 Iraqis were found shot execution style.

Iraq people cheer when a British helicopter is shot down in Basra and stone the British troops attempting to reach the crash site.

Four more explosions were reported killing 17 and injuring 44 more.
We are headed for another record level of deaths in May

The atrocities we saw under Saddam are continuing the only difference is which side is inflicting the killing. The elections that were to bring stability took place four months ago and the violence continues without improvement.

It is time to allow the Iraqi people decide what is to become of Iraq. Our continued presence is NOT solving the conflict among the three factions in Iraq. All we are doing is sustaining more deaths, injuries and spending money that would be far better spent on the needs of Americans.

Sending our Troops into danger and spending hundreds of Billions of dollars does not prove you have BALLS it proves you are stupid. What intelligent person would sacrifice so much to get NOTHING in return?

If thats the best you got on all that I posted your worthless and stupid to boot. Later Gene.

We are in the middle of a civil war that BUSH enabled to develop!!!

There is no civil war in Iraq. Why are you talking about something that doesn't exist?

70 % of the American People do not agree with Bush and this war.

Are you quoting biased media polls again col? Let's remember the people voted in Bush twice.

Col, I will ask you again why you continue to ignore all the good news about Iraq, and the economy. All you do is tell us how bad everything is, and totally ignore every point that counters your lies. Why is that?
on May 16, 2006
Yes what is taking place is a civil war between the internal factions within Iraq. To date it does not encompass the entire country but it is a civil war in many populated areas in Iraq. When we leave, the forces on the three sides will have at it and it is VERY likely that a FULL Blown Civil War will result. The factions in Iraq that can not get along are not new. They have existed since the British formed Iraq. ONLY force, first British and then Saddam kept what is taking place today from occurring in Iraq in the past. It is similar to Northern Ireland but worse and over a much bigger area and with many more people involved.

WE have not realized the benefits that our sacrafice, both people and financial, has cost. The VAST majority in Iraq look at the U S and Britain as occupiers and they WANT US OUT! No matter how long we stay, when we leave the fighting among the factions will get worse!

Col, there is no civil war in Iraq. You wish there was one, but it's not true.

The VAST majority in Iraq look at the U S and Britain as occupiers and they WANT US OUT!

Wrong again col.

No Col is right. They do want us out. The factions do anyway. The civilians who have been oppressed are getting an opportunity and are given hope. But that I guess doesn't matter to you. Bosnia was a civil war Iraq isn't even close.

A waste of time my friends, Col is a waste of time. he will never give in even an inch on what he believes. let him keep thinking what he wants.

Kind of reminds me of the Phelps eh Charles?
on May 16, 2006
None of that changes what is going on in Iraq day after day

BLOOD! BLOOD! YAY FOR AMERICAN BLOOD!

Blood in the streets of Baghdad means that COL's been right all along!

C'mon, COL, join with me: "BLOOD! BLOOD! YAY FOR AMERICAN BLOOD!"

You are a loathsome waste of time. You want war, you want carnage, you want there to be a civil war. It means, in some bizarre, morbid way, that you were right? You gleefully ignore all the good news coming from Baghdad in order to further your agenda. Dead Americans only strengthen your cause.

If you really want to make a statement about the war and the military, why don't you return your pension check?

Since when is opposing Killing our Troops and Injuring them a waste of time? Since when is being concerned about spending hundreds of Billions of dollars a waste of time? You people who support Bush and his bankrupt policies that are destroying our country make me sick.

We said you were a waste of time. It seems that you block everything that goes to your head. You Col, it is you who are the waste of time. You never want to give in even an inch. You never try to take into account anyones opinion here, you never give anyone the benefit of the doubt. All you do is post and claim that your word is almighty and that no one elses is right.

Since when is being concerned about spending hundreds of Billions of dollars a waste of time?

As if you ever cared before. For many years the US Gov't has wasted money on everything from expensive toilet seats, to stupid programs, to wars and even giving money to countries who turn their backs on us and now is when you want to complain about wasting money? You're a hypocrit. All your points are focus on criticizing a single man when it takes hundreds of people to run this entire nation.

You people who support Bush and his bankrupt policies that are destroying our country make me sick.

Not sick enough to stay off line and disappear for ever.

Well since I have been bogging about the needless death of our troops and the needless injury of our troops, when you say I am a waste of time you are saying the welfare of our troops is a waste of time.

I have written about the unnecessary federal spending especially the pork that is at an all time high under Bush and the GOP leadership. I have also said if we can not stop the spending spree, we must bring our tax revenue equal to our spending and STOP the deficit financing of our spending. Bush and the GOP do both badly-- The spend like drunken sailors and put it on the Federal Credit Card for which we and our children will be paying for a long time after Bush is gone!

You don't oppose, you cheer.

Col, if it was a democrat doing this you wouldn't be so "concerned". As Charles said above for almost a countless amount of years we have wasted money on a lot of things. Welfare is the first thing that comes to mind. Where is your fake "outrage" about that.

ou people who support Bush and his bankrupt policies that are destroying our country make me sick.

Col, the U.S. economy is great. I know you don't know that since all you read is the NYT.

As usual blame Bush and the Republicans. Democrats have no part in this I guess.

Just be honest col, say you want to raise taxes on successful Americans because you think they have "enough". Be the true socialist you are.

You see, this is where you and everyone else here differs. This country was built on sacrifice, everyone has to sacrifice in order to survive. This world is full of crap because no one has the balls to stand up and do what is right. Regardless of whether we went in to Iraq for oil, WMD or the freedom of the Iraqi people, in the end the end result of a free Iraq, a Saddamless Iraq, the begining of a better Middle East is worth the few lives we've lost in my opinion. If I could I would join the military force and fight with pride for my country. It's too late for me and in part I regret it. I can only hope that one of my sons will consider a military life, that way he can do more than just pay taxes for his country.

You have no faith in anything, you don't even believe the US is a great country anymore. All you care about is your madicare, madicaid and social security. You don't really care about the US or anyone in it, except maybe family members.

Bush began a new plan to secure the Mexican borders, something you bitched about over and over, where is your claim that Bush is doing something about it now? How come you are not giving Bush props for doing his job, even if it was a bit late, but better late than never? You're a hypocrit and that is that.

Island Dog

You don't oppose, you cheer.

I NEVER did anything but expressed sorrow for all the death and injuries since this WAR WAS NOT NECESSARY. We were not in danger from Saddam and the deaths and injuries are ALL in vain. Bush has sacrificed our military for NO GOOD REASON.

Col, if it was a democrat doing this you wouldn't be so "concerned".

It has NOTHING to do with Republican or Democrat. It is spending money we need to be spending on America that is being wasted. Last week a report was released by the Fed that showed 18 of the 20 Billion spent to rebuild Iraq was wasted.

As usual blame Bush and the Republicans. Democrats have no part in this I guess.

The GOP controls Congress and the White House. It was the Democrats that wanted the 20 Billion to rebuild Iraq to be a LOAN to Iraq. Bush and the GOP make the Democrats look like small potatoes on spending. WE have never had so much of an increase in spending including PORK as under the GOP. Then to make it worse, the GOP cuts taxes and drives the budget into deficit and borrows the money for BOTH the tax cuts and the increased spending. Bush has not vetoed ONE spending bill!
