In an attempt to justify his first veto, Bush surrounded himself with a few children that were born from left-over in-vitro frozen stem-cells to show what he did by his veto was proper. Bush claims if we allowed federally funded research on excess Stem-Cells these children would never have been born. That is another lie that his spin doctors cooked up. The truth is that donors that have excess stem-cells that remain after they have completed their in-vitro procedures have two option...

Bush for the VERY first time in 5 ½ years said he will veto the bill providing for Stem-Cell research. About 2/3 of Americans want this bill passed as does the majority of Congress. Again we have Bush and the far right making a ridiculous argument that this will destroy human life. The truth is that the stem-cells that would be used to help find cures for many types of human suffering are the unused cells from in-vitro fertilization that will NEVER become human life. These cells are...

At the G-8 it became clear that Bush and his support for what other leaders say is the disproportionate actions of Israel which they consider unjustified has put the United States at odds with the other G-8 leaders. The other leaders wanted a TRUCE, while Bush refused to go along with demanding that both sides STOP the fighting. Bush has chosen to support Israel who is starting a war over the capture of one Israeli Soldier. As Putin said, " no hostage-takings are acceptable .....

George W. Bush is running around telling the world that Syria and Iran are responsible for the new violence in the Middle-East. At the same time Israel is attacking Lebanon as the source of that violence? What Gives? If Bush is correct, why has Israel not attacked Syria and Iran?

Today Bush is running around holding a news conference to brag about the new estimate that shows the Annual Budget deficit for FY 2006 will be per the president ONLY $300 Billion down from an earlier estimate of $425 Billion. Who would boast about an economic policy that during this so called boom is producing a $300 Billion dollar deficit in ONE year? Then when you look at the Bush numbers you see he has LIED about the deficit by subtracting the surpluses from Social Security and Me...

This weekend should convince anyone that Iraq is falling into Civil War. For eight hours bands of masked Shiite gunman rampaged through Baghdad killing 41Sunnis. Neither the new police nor military we have been training were able to stop this violence. After this rampage there were two bombings close to a Shiite Mosque killed another 17 and wounded 38 more in a reprisal for the earlier attacks. Even the Iraqi Prime Minister said after these attacks that the nation stood, "in front of a da...

It Is OK to have KILLED U. S. Troops in Iraq! By COL Gene Posted Thursday, June 15, 2006 on Bush Truth Discussion: Politics It looks like what I posted in my Blog on 15 June is about to come true (see above) Yesterday the Iraqi Prime Minister announced he was ready to enact his amnesty plan that would allow Iraqis that have KILLED American Troops to be forgiven. Bush must object to any such plan in the strongest possible terms. To have an American President Support a gover...

Sen. Rick Santorum claims a just released intelligence report proves Saddam Hussein had WMD. This claim is predicated on the recovery of about 500 old gas filled Artillery Shells from about 1980 and this Santorum claims proves that Saddam was the danger Bush claimed when he invaded Iraq in March 2003. Santorum shows just how desperate Bush supporters are to try and justify a war that the majority believes was a mistake. The problem with the old chemical artillery shells is that fir...

Bush, Cheney and his supporters point to continuing and past military operations as examples of progress in Iraq. Our military have and will continue to be unequaled when fighting military engagements. The have proven that when they destroyed the remaining military of Saddam and when they go into areas where the insurgents operate. The problem is that our troops have had to fight the SAME battle OVER and OVER again. When they conduct an operation to suppress the insurgents in a city ...

I am criticized for suggesting that we return to the tax rates that were in effect just prior to 2001. If you look back at the justification Bush used for the first tax cut that Congress approved it was to REPAY the OVERTAXED American Taxpayers because we had a projected SURPLUS of $5.7 Trillion over the ten years from 2001 to 2011. Both O'Neil and Greenspan counseled that we should NOT return to Annual Budget Deficits and that the tax cuts should be tied to the available SURPLUS to pay...

I found it hard to believe what the Washington Post article said this morning which is that the Prime Minister of Iraq, Nouri al-Maliki was to announce a limited amnesty plan to help placate the Sunni Arab insurgency by granting them a PARDON so long as their only crime was ATTACKING U.S.TROOPS! This is the new Iraqi Government Bush enabled to be created with the blood of our brave military and hundreds of Billions of dollars. This new government that is to make us more secure is con...

I have been accused of not acknowledging the GOOD Economic news. That is not true! I have acknowledged as the Bush administration has been telling us that we have had strong GDP growth. There has been some increase in productivity. Many Corporate profits have been UP and until to about two weeks ago the Stock market was UP. Bush and his supporters say they can not understand WHY the public is NOT HAPPY with the way Bush has handled the economy. It is NOT that the administration has ...

Bush in his 2007 budget has proposed ending a program started in 1968 to distribute Federal Surplus Food to needy seniors. That program CSFP provides boxes of surplus food each month to 420, 000 of the poorest American seniors in 32 states and Washington D.C. The total cost of this program is $107 Million per year and is one of the ways Bush plans to deal with a $600 Billion dollar deficit. Bush claims that this is an overlapping program with food stamps. However when AARP looked at how ...

Most of the negative incidents and difficulties in Iraq are not because we do not have a well trained and dedicated military. On the contrary, look at how they performed during the first three months of this war. Our military is trained to destroy opposing military force and in that mission have NO equal today on Earth. I have read articles that claim the reason for much of the negative events and lack of progress is because the mission given our military by their Commander-in-Chief i...

For some time I have pointed out that the economic growth that Bush has been claiming credit for is a mirage to the vast majority of Americans. Bush points to higher GDP, the stock market and healthy corporate profits. To the average American they see a DROP in Average weekly wage during the past two years and NO growth in the past five years. They now are faced with skyrocketing energy costs that are now showing up is sluggish sales at lower end stores. However the high end stores ar...
